Serial Number 1 Fairmont, WV - $5 1902 Date Back Fr. 593 The
Peoples National Bank Ch. # (S)9645 PMG Very Fine 30.The sole serial number 1 example, large or small, reported from this Marion County bank that was closed by the receiver in 1930. Large size serial number 1 notes from the Mountain State are rather scarce with less than two dozen recorded in the National Currency Foundation census for all banks combined. This pen signed $5 is from the first sheet issued by the bank after it opened in 1910 and it features excellent color with just a handful of storage folds.
