Mount Vernon, WA - $20 1929 Ty. 1 The Skagit National Bank Ch. # 12154 PMG Very Fine 25 EPQ.Despite receiving its charter in 1922, this bank elected to issue Series 1929 examples only before the Great Depression closed its doors forever in 1934. While this bank, according to the census, is not the scarcest Washington state bank, it is only the third note from this charter to cross the public auction block since 2013. This new addition to the census exhibits even wear and original surfaces. Last October, we sold a Type 1 $5 in a PMG Very Fine 25 holder for $3,120.
