Salt Lake City, UT - $1 Original Fr. 382 The Deseret
NB Ch. # 2059 PMG Very Fine 30.A nice mid-grade Territorial ace which is one of the better examples in the census. While not an exceptionally rare Territorial, notes from this bank are always in demand because the bank was organized and directed by Brigham Young, whose dark and clear signature as President adorns this specimen. A small, hardly noticeable repaired edge split on this pretty, well margined specimen that bears low serial number 4 has been mentioned by PMG. However, that trivial flaw does not detract at all from this appealing example of great historic as well as numismatic interest that has been off the market for over twenty years.
