Description

Scarce and Attractive Layton Large Size

Layton, UT - $10 1902 Date Back Fr. 616 The First National Bank Ch. # (P)7685 PMG Choice Very Fine 35 EPQ.
Despite being in a more populated part of the state, Layton was a small town, with just around 10,000 inhabitants when this bank was chartered in 1904. It issued both large and small size notes, with just six large size survivors currently reported. Of that number, this bright and original Date Back is, quite likely, the finest known. It features wonderful punch through embossing, full margins, and bright, problem free paper that should generate a premium bid tonight.
