Serial Number 1 Houston, TX - $5 1882 Brown Back Fr. 471 The
South Texas National Bank Ch. # 4350 PMG Very Fine 30.
This wonderful new addition to the census of this scarce Houston
bank is the first Serial Number 1 note of any type to be reported
from this charter. It joins just eight other Number 1 $5 Brown
Backs reported for all Texas banks, according to the National
Currency Foundation census. PMG has noted some repairs and minor
corner damage, but overall, it is a very attractive note with bold
ink colors and dark pen signatures.
