The Goldthwaite National Bank Ch. # 6092 PCGS Extremely Fine
45PPQ.This very nice Serial Number 1 $10 Brown Back beautifully represents this Mills County bank that was in operation only from 1892 to 1901. It is one of just twenty Number 1 $10 Brown Backs reported from all Texas banks, five of which are in institutional collections. Tracing its provenance to the sale of The J. L. Irish Collection in 1997, this piece features full margins, rich inks, white paper, and dark pen signatures.
