Rare Hearne Large Size - Finest of Five Notes Reported
Hearne, TX - $20 1902 Date Back Fr. 649 The First National Bank
Ch. # (S)4976 PMG About Uncirculated 55.A beautiful note from the only bank in this small Robertson County community that was in business from 1894 to 1921. This note traces its pedigree to the Everson collection sale in February of 1997 and has not a made a public appearance since that time. It is one of just five notes reported from this rare charter, two of which are locked in the Philpott/Moody holdings. The first note from here to cross the auction block since 2009, it is also the finest of those five known examples and it features vibrant color, bright, white paper, and a fancy bank serial number of 555.
