Big Springs, TX - $10 1882 Brown Back Fr. 484 The First National
Bank Ch. # 4306 PMG Very Fine 30.While five Brown Backs are reported from this Howard County bank that bears a great Texas town name, all but two of them are ensconced in the Philpott/Moody holdings. This pretty note is one of the remaining pair available to collectors and it is a nice one with great color and signatures along with loads of eye appeal. It also represents the scarcer variety of $10 Brown Backs with the vertical charter number.
