Woonsocket, RI - $1 1875 Fr. 383 The National Union Bank Ch. # 1409 PMG Very Fine 20.This is an attractive new addition to the census of this scarce large-only bank, and the first note from here to ever appear in one of our auctions. It is also only the second 1875 ace to be reported and it joins barely a dozen pieces overall in the census, and only one of which has crossed the public auction block since 2006. Very well margined for a New England ace, this is pleasing pen signed example with a bold overprint and a wide swath of blue end paper.
