Wakefield, RI - $1 Original Fr. 380b The Wakefield National Bank
Ch. # 1206 PMG Choice Very Fine 35.From this excessively rare Wakefield bank that issued First and Second Charter notes only before liquidating in 1890 comes this wonderful new discovery. This is just the fourth note to be reported from this charter, but more importantly, it is the first note from this bank to make a public appearance since a 2001 auction. This new entrant is a beautiful, well margined Original Series Ace with vibrant color, dark pen signatures, and loads of eye appeal. This is a great note for the Rhode Island collector or anyone who appreciates attractive First Charter Aces.
