Newport, RI - $5 1875 Fr. 401 The National Bank of Rhode Island Ch. # 1532 PMG Very Fine 20.This is a very nice note from a tougher Newport bank that issued First and Second Charter notes only before liquidating in 1900. Last on the market in our 2004 Central States auction, this is an evenly circulated and solid 1875 $5 with delicate pen signatures and a swath of blue end paper.
