Description

Low Serial Number 2 Hood River Red Seal

Serial Number 2 Hood River, OR - $10 1902 Red Seal Fr. 613 The First National Bank Ch. # (P)7272 PMG Very Fine 30.
A lovely serial number 2 Red Seal, this piece bears one of the greatest town names from Oregon and represents the only bank to issue in Flood River County. It is one of just six large size overall in the census from this popular charter and the only Red Seal of any denomination reported. It is a very attractive, pen signed $10 that retains a vibrant red overprint with moderate wear. PMG has mentioned restoration on its holder of this appealing note, but nothing is readily apparent even after close scrutiny. This is a great Oregon rarity that will appeal to collectors of all stripes.
