Description
Serial Number 1 Burns, Oregon Red Seal
Serial Number 1 Burns, OR - $10 1902 Red Seal Fr. 613 The First
National Bank Ch. # (P)6295 PCGS About New 53PPQ.
A lovely Serial Number 1 Red Seal note, this is one of just
fourteen Number 1 Red Seals of all denominations from Oregon in the
National Currency Foundation census. It is also one of five known
from this bank, and the only $10 as the other four are from a cut
sheet of $5s. However, none of those four $5 Red Seals have been
publicly available in over a dozen years. This example is a pen
signed beauty with a vivid red overprint, original surfaces, and
only some light handling in the margins. Recently, a Number 1 $10
Red Seal from Coquille, in a PMG About 50 EPQ holder, sold for over
$27,000 at auction.

Estimate: $20,000 - up.
