Elusive Oregon Small Size Note
Lebanon, OR - $10 1929 Ty. 1 The Lebanon National Bank Ch. #
10164 PCGS Banknote Very Fine 30 PPQ.This is by far the rarest of Lebanon's two banks, with the census revealing only three large and three small examples. However, of that trio of Series 1929 notes, just one has ever appeared at public auction - a Serial Number 1 piece that we offered in 2011. One of the other two known examples, this $10 is a bright and original piece displaying just even wear. Due to the fact that this bank issued only a mere handful of small size notes before it was liquidated in June of 1932, it may be many years before another opportunity presents itself to obtain a note from this tough charter.
