Third Reported Cashion Note - First Public Offering

Cashion, OK - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 626 The First National Bank Ch. # (W)6161 PMG Very Fine 25.
Another great Oklahoma rarity, this offering is just the third note to be reported from this one-bank location in the central part of the state. It is the first to ever appear at public sale. The community of Cashion was named for Roy Cashion, a native Oklahoman who joined Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders during the Spanish-American War and who was killed during the famous charge on San Juan Hill in Cuba. This offering is a bright and crisp $10 with sharp ink colors and bold pen signatures. With one of the other known examples ensconced in the Higgins Museum in Iowa, it may be many years before another opportunity to acquire this rare town presents itself.
