Cleveland, OH - $50 1882 Brown Back Fr. 508 The Commercial
National Bank Ch. # 807 PMG Choice Fine 15.This offering represents a better type and denomination for the state of Ohio as it is one of only about three dozen $50 Brown Backs reported for all banks combined. It also hails from a very scarce Cleveland bank as well as it is one of only six notes reported from this large-only charter. PMG mentions pinholes, but otherwise, it is a pleasing mid-grade example with very nice color and dark pen signatures.
