Valley City, ND - $20 1882 Brown Back Fr. 504 The American
National Bank Ch. # (W)5364 PMG Very Fine 25.This offering is a nice example of a much scarcer type and denomination for North Dakota as it is one of just six $20 Brown Backs reported from the entire state. Hailing from a bank that issued Second Charter notes only before liquidating in 1919, this is the only Brown Back in the census from this scarce charter. It is crisp mid-grade note with excellent color for the grade and just some trivial staining in a couple of the margins.
