McHenry, ND - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 599 The First National Bank Ch. # (W)8124 PMG Very Fine 25.A very rare North Dakota note that hails from the the sole issuer in McHenry, a tiny community of just 71 people in 2000. It is one of just four pieces in the census, the last of which appeared on the market in the dispersal of The Glen Jorde Collection in 2013. This $5, which we last offered in our 2010 Memphis auction, is a bright mid-grade example with a bold overprint and clear pen signatures. PMG mentions minor repairs which affect little.
