Grand Forks, ND - $50 1882 Date Back Fr. 563 The First National Bank Ch. # (W)2570 PMG Very Good 10.While a scarce type and denomination from any state, it is particularly the case with North Dakota, where it was only issued by this bank. This example is one of just nine such pieces reported for the state, one of which is locked away in the Smithsonian Institution. This offering is one of the more circulated survivors, but it maintains decent color and is housed in a comment-free holder. It provides a collector the opportunity to acquire a North Dakota $50 Date Back for much less than a five-figure price.
