Bottineau, ND - $20 1882 Date Back Fr. 555 The First National Bank Ch. # (W)6085 PMG Very Fine 20.This is a very scarce note from a short-lived issuer that operated right near the Canadian border in North Dakota. It hails from a bank that was only in business from 1901 until its failure in 1923 and is one of just eight pieces overall in the census and the only 1882 $20 Date Back reported. Last on the market in our 2007 FUN auction, it is an evenly circulated note with nice color and legible stamped signatures.
