EPQ.This spectacular serial number 1 Westchester County note was obtained by Dick Boyce as lot 596 in Bill Donlon's June 28, 1974 mail bid sale, where it fetched $275, an impressive number nearly fifty years ago. It's a well margined and pen signed beauty, and is the only serial number 1 example from this Mount Kisco bank displaying the first title used here. This is, as John Hickman was wont to say, a real peach of a note, and it would not surprise us at all to see our estimate reached or exceeded early in the bidding.
