Palmyra, NY - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 598 The First National Bank
Ch. # (E)295 Uncut Sheet PMG About Uncirculated 55.This is a very attractive uncut sheet from this one-bank Wayne County location that is one of just two sheets reported from this charter and the only Plain Back sheet in the census. It made its last public appearance in our 1999 FUN auction. The note retains its full top and bottom selvage along with virtually all of its original ink colors and just a few light folds. It also features the unique circumstance of the bank's long-time cashier Robert M. Smith signing the notes as both the cashier and as the bank's vice-president.
