Kinderhook, NY - $2 Original Fr. 387b The NB of Kinderhook Ch. # 1026 PMG Very Fine 20.First Charters and Brown Backs only from this scarce Kinderhook bank, which liquidated in October of 1889 after the bank's Cashier, Augustus Wynkoop, resigned under a cloud which was the talk of this village for decades afterward. While about a dozen Original Series aces are known from this institution, several of which have made regular auction appearances, this is the first Deuce to cross the auction block in over 20 years. It is an evenly circulated and solid note with nice color for the grade.
