Serial Number 1 Freeport, NY Red Seal
Freeport, NY - $5 1902 Red Seal Fr. 587 The First NB
Ch. # (E)7703A high grade serial number 1 Nassau County Red Seal that was once part of the fabled Albert Grinnell collection and was sold as part of an uncut sheet in October of 1945. The sheet was cut around 1990 to allow four collectors to enjoy a number 1 Red Seal from this Long Island bank. Gorgeous pen signatures adorn this lightly circulated example from this always in demand Nassau County charter, an unusual occurrence as most of the surviving notes from here have faded signatures.
