Babylon, NY - $20 1882 Brown Back Fr. 499 The Babylon NB Ch. # (E)4906A great note from a Suffolk County bank which issued Brown Backs and 1882 Date Backs before closing its doors forever at the expiration of its charter in 1913. The Kelly census shows three examples extant from this bank, with this piece having been off the market since it was obtained from our Collection of a Gentleman sale in 1998. Pen signed PCGS Apparent Very Fine 20, with a couple of closed edge splits that are barely visible and affect nothing.
