Deming, NM - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 628 The First National Bank
Ch. # (W)6974 PMG Very Fine 25.A second note from this very rare New Mexico bank, this is the only example reported that bears its second title. Its unique status is understandable, as the second title only appeared on this bank's notes from 1922 until its failure two years later. A true miracle of survival, it has a few small holes in its bottom margin and a small erasure, but those flaws are trivial when considering the rarity of this otherwise pleasing mid-grade Plain Back. This is a great note certain to be pursued by the many New Mexico collectors.
