Clovis, NM - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 654 The First National Bank
Ch. # (W)8784 PMG Choice Fine 15.From the far rarer of this New Mexico location's two issuers, this $20 hails from a bank that was only in business from 1907 until the receiver arrived to close the doors in 1924. While it has seen its share of circulation and has minor rust stains, it is easily the finest of the mere three notes reported from this rare charter with the other two known notes grading no better than Very Good. Despite the wear, it maintains decent color and legible pen signatures.
