Alpha, NJ - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 609 The Alpha NB Ch. # 12823A rare Warren County bank that issued only $5s in both sizes. It opened in 1925 and closed in 1933 leaving a mere large size outstanding of $665. The PMG Very Fine 25 note in this lot is one of only five large reported and is an evenly circulated and problem free example. A perusal of auction records in Track & Price discloses previous realizations crossing the $6,000 mark.
