Manchester, NH - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 651 The Merchants NB Ch. # 1520 PMG Very Fine 20.In 1880, the Merchants National Bank of Manchester served as a continuation of the City National Bank of Manchester, resulting in notes bearing this second bank title. H.L. Additon and Nathan P. Hunt placed their bold, stamped signatures on this piece. One of fifteen listed in the NBN census, but with only three large size notes appearing at auction in the past two decades. The only other one we have sold was a Third Charter $20 Date Back, at this same PMG VF 20 grade, that fell just short of the $1,000 mark in our 2016 Long Beach auction.
