Reno, NV - $50 1902 Plain Back Fr. 682 The Reno National Bank
Ch. # 8424 PCGS Extremely Fine 40.This is a quite lovely high denomination example from this Reno bank that bears the bold printed signature of the legendary George Wingfield as president, who rose from dealing faro at a Tonopah casino to the richest man in Nevada in a five-year period from 1902 to 1907. This is just about the finest $50 reported, bearing this charter's second title, and it is a real beauty with bright paper, bold ink colors, and little evidence of circulation.
