Ely, NV - $20 1929 Ty. 1 The Ely National Bank Ch. # 9310 PMG Extremely Fine 40.This institution was Ely's second bank to be chartered, and, like many banks in that position, it was much smaller than the more prosperous First National Bank. Only two large notes have been reported from this bank, making a small size example the only realistic option for most collectors. This is a bright, boldly printed and well embossed $20 that likely would have received the EPQ designation from PMG if not for a couple of small paper pulls on the back.
