Excessively Rare Nebraska Original Series $20 - One of Two Reported

Omaha, NE - $20 Original Fr. 429 The Omaha National Bank Ch. # 1633 PMG Choice Fine 15.
An extraordinarily rare Nebraska type and denomination which was issued by only three banks in the state is offered here. Only two Original Series $20s are known, with both examples coming from this Omaha bank, according to the National Currency Foundation census. Both are about the same grade, but one has never appeared publicly. This is the other known note and it is crossing the auction block for the first time in over a decade. It is an evenly circulated piece with minor repairs, but certainly more than acceptable in appearance and so rare that it hardly matters. This is a truly great Nebraska National worth whatever it costs to bring home tonight.
