Description

Scarce Reserve, MT Small Size - First Public Offering Since 2001

Reserve, MT - $10 1929 Ty. 1 The First National Bank Ch. # 10986 PMG Very Fine 30.
This is a great Montana note that hails from one of the smallest communities to ever host a National Bank. Located in the northeast corner of Montana and named for the nearby Fort Peck Indian Reservation, this tiny locale had a population of a mere 33 souls in the 2020 Census. It was home to one note-issuing bank which currently has a surviving population of just one large and a dozen or so small size examples. However, they must be tightly held, as no small size has made a public appearance since a 2001 auction. This new addition to the census therefore provides a great opportunity for today's generation of collectors. It is a bright and crisp $10 displaying just even wear.
