Maryville, MO - $10 1902 Date Back Fr. 619 The Maryville
National Bank Ch. # (M)4243 PMG Extremely Fine 40.This is a great new discovery from, by far, the rarest of this community's two issuers. Only in business from 1890 until 1913, just four notes - all Brown Backs - were reported from this charter, one of which is ensconced in the Higgins Museum. Just the second note from here to be publicly offered in a quarter-century, this pretty example is also the first 1902 Date Back to surface from this rare institution. It is a quite striking note with bold ink colors, deep, original embossing, and legible stamped signatures. This is a great note for the Missouri specialist.
