Description

Excessively Rare Horse Cave Small Size - Finest of Two Reported

Horse Cave, KY - $10 1929 Ty. 1 The First National Bank Ch. # 7602 PMG Very Fine 20.
A great note bearing one of the most desirable town names to grace any National Bank Note. While large size are occasionally available from this popular one-bank community, small size are downright impossible to locate with just two pieces in the census, neither of which have ever been publicly offered. This $10 is the finest of the two Series 1929 examples reported from this institution that was closed by the receiver shortly before Christmas in 1930. It is an evenly circulated and nicely margined piece that presents a great opportunity for either the Kentucky specialist or any collector of fancy town names.
