Valley Falls, KS - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 607 The First NB Ch. # 11816 Very Fine+.The only bank in Valley Falls to issue notes. Incredibly bright, with exceptional centering, and deep printing. Crisp and clearly an original note. Fives only for this rather scarce Valley Falls bank which shut its doors in 1931 during the throes of the Depression. One of only a dozen or so listed in the census and an earlier printed note, as there are few examples from this bank that have different bank and treasury serial numbers. The finest example we have offered and it realized $480 in our 2018 FUN auction.
