Story City, IA - $10 1902 Date Back Fr. 620 The Story City
National Bank Ch. # (M)10222 PMG Very Fine 25.This great Iowa rarity is one of just three pieces reported from this short-lived Story City bank that was, by far, the tougher to acquire of this community's two issuers. However, of the three notes in the census, one is ensconced in the Higgins Museum, while the other two have never appeared at public sale, according to the National Currency Foundation census. One of the three reported from this charter that failed in 1927, and the only Date Back in the census, this $10 is a pleasing mid-grade note with color and clear signatures, one handwritten and one stamped.
