Description
Rochester, IN - $5 Original Fr. 399 The First National Bank Ch. # 1952 PMG About Uncirculated 53.A scarce bank which issued Original Series notes only for less than four years before liquidating in 1876. By 1910, a meager $283 was outstanding. Surprisingly, eleven surviving pieces have been recorded including this $5 which is being publicly offered for the first time since a 2001 auction. It saw only limited circulation and retains dark signatures, but there is some discoloration along with pinholes.
