Description
Montpelier, IN - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 633 The First NB Ch. # 5278An otherwise Fine example from the sole issuing bank in the Blackford County locale, and from one of two issuing banks in the entire county. With only $3,150 outstanding in large at its close in 1933 during the depression, this small bank is represented by only five other known examples in large in the latest published version of the Kelly census. While it appears to have been washed, the signatures remain legible and the note should spark considerable interest from Hoosier collectors based especially on its particular scarcity and the scarcity of known survivors from its county.
