Peoria, IL - $5 1882 Brown Back Fr. 477 The Commercial German NB Ch. # (M)3296A nice $5 Brown Back from this Peoria bank that carries both a hyphenated and an ethnic title, adopted when it absorbed the German NB in 1904 and then quickly dropped after America's entry into World War I. Ample margins and dark stamped signatures highlight this colorful PMG Very Fine 25 example that is one of just two $5 Brown Backs known with this title.
