Mattoon, IL - $50 1929 Ty. 1 The NB of Mattoon Ch. # 10045A truly scarce bank in both large size and small, although even harder to find in small than large. The census here shows just five Series 1929 examples, and, with the miniscule number of sheets this bank issued, we don't expect to see many more. PCGS Apparent Very Fine 25, with mention made of a small internal tear at left. Miniscule to begin with, it is repaired and barely visible even when the note is candled.
