Description

Divernon, IL - $10 1902 Date Back Fr. 621 The First NB Ch. # (M)10296
This is a truly rare note from the only bank to issue in this tiny Sangamon County locale. While four notes are known from here, all save one have been closely held for many years. Our records show just one public offering during the past six decades, with that coming when we sold the Shaw holdings bank in January of 2001. That piece was far lower grade than this, and still realized $2420 over six years ago. Pen signed Extremely Fine, and bearing low serial number 2 as a bonus, a great item fit for the finest of collections.
