De Land, IL - $5 1882 Date Back Fr. 537 The First NB Ch. # (M)5699A scarce type and denomination from this Piatt County bank. It's one of three 1882 Date Backs reported to date, and the sole $5. We've sold one previously, a $10 Date Back with several problems including a replaced corner that still fetched $1150 back in 2009. This piece, which is far nicer, should easily exceed that figure. PMG Very Fine 25, with minor repairs (which appear to be extremely inconsequential) mentioned on the PMG holder.
