Description

Third Reported Wendell Note First Offering Since 2001

Wendell, ID - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 626 The First National Bank Ch. # (P)9491 PMG Fine 12.
This wonderful new discovery note comes from one of Idaho's rarest locations. This obscure community hosted just one national bank, an institution that was only in business from 1909 until its failure in 1922. Prior to this evening, just two notes were known from this very tough charter, both of which we auctioned as part of our September 2001 auction and which have been off the market since that time. This newly surfaced piece, therefore, presents a great opportunity for today's generation of collectors. It is a well circulated, but solid note with decent color for the grade and bold pen signatures.
