Very Rare Dubois, Idaho Note - One of Three Reported

Dubois, ID - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 658 The First National Bank Ch. # 11508 PMG Very Fine 30.
This offering is a great example from one of Idaho's rarest locations from which to obtain a National Bank Note. It hails from the only issuer in this small eastern Idaho community, a bank that was only in business from 1919 until the receiver arrived in 1927. It is one of just three pieces in the census and it is a crisp mid-grade $20 with just a couple of spindle holes and light staining on the right quarter-panel of the face. However, its colors remain bold and the stamped signatures are faint but legible. Four years ago, we auctioned another $20 Plain Back, in a PMG Fine 15 holder, for $8,400.
