Second Public Offering in Sixty Years

Driggs, ID - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 654 The First NB Ch. # (P)10278
A wonderful note from the only bank to issue in remote Teton County. Three notes are recorded in the census from this institution, which liquidated in 1929. Two are Date Backs, a serial number 1 which has been in the possession of the bank founders family since 1912, a serial number 2, which was give to the founder's daughter, who served as the bank's secretary, and this piece, the only known plain back. The number 1 has never come out, but the number 2, which the family had traded privately some years ago, finally came out this January, when our parent company sold it at auction for $5,520. The offering of this piece, which was one of Bob Knudsen's favorite items, is thus only the second opportunity in sixty years for members of the collecting fraternity to obtain an example from this much coveted location. Expect a real battle to determine which fortunate collector gets to add a new town to his holdings this evening. Pen signed Fine-Very Fine. Est. 3,500-5,500
