Covington, GA - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 652 First NB Ch. # (S)8945An excessively rare note from a bank which issued large notes only until its demise in 1925. While three examples are listed in the Kelly census, our records show only one offering of any kind from this bank, with that coming in a 1996 auction appearance, which featured a Plain Back five charitably described as Good-Very Good. The Rome collection example is far superior, grading a nice Fine-Very Fine. If rarity and desirability are any guide, expect to see bidding here reach or exceed...
