Madison, FL - $10 1902 Red Seal Fr. 613 The First NB Ch. # (S)7190
An extremely rare note for both bank and type. This institution was the sole issuer in this north Florida locale before its demise in 1923, and this piece is one of fewer than thirty Red Seals known from all banks in Florida combined. The colors and overall appearance are exemplary, with PMG awarding it a grade of Very Fine 25 Net, with the comment "Restoration" on the reverse of the holder. The restoration is a perfectly executed pair of corner repairs, done so professionally that they are barely detectible even when the note is subjected to close scrutiny.
