Clearwater, FL - $20 1929 Ty. 1 The First NB Ch. # 12905Just as some banks are unaccountably scarce, others are unaccountably common, with this institution falling squarely into the latter category. The Series 1929 issue from here, while not tiny, was no more than average for a bank of its capitalization, and there are no hoards of uncirculated specimens to skew the census upwards. Since this was the only bank in Clearwater to issue, and since large notes from here are virtually unobtainable, this circulated piece will allow a collector to add this town to his or her holdings. PMG Very Fine 20.
