Washington, DC - $20 Original Fr. 427 The National
Metropolitan Bank Ch. # 1069 PMG Very Fine 25.A very rare early note from this major DC bank that is just the second Original Series example to surface from here and the first $20. It is also the first of those two early note to ever be publicly offered. Fortunately, it is a most attractive piece with solid paper, pleasing color, and bold pen signatures. A few minor rust stains have been noted by PMG but they are of little importance when considering the rarity and desirability of this very rare piece of fiscal history from the nation's capital.
